Inspired by an episode of Abstract, about the design of Instagram, I found that UX (User Experience) Design is like the architecture of digital spaces. I decided to try something new and to undergo my own design exercise and design a fantasy basketball app. The app is influenced by own experience with navigating other sports apps and how I can improve the user experience, finding ways to simplify but also add more information, often contradictory ideas. The app tries to always display what the user wants to see while additional information is always just a tap or swipe away. Customizable team colors not only gives each manager and league personality, it acts to highlight elements and provide additional depth of information at first glance. Here is the result.
